Colon and Rectal Surgery
Dara Christante, MD, FACS, FASCRS
Dara Christante is a board certified Colon & Rectal Surgeon. She graduated from medical school at the University of Texas with academic honors in 2004. She completed her surgical training at Oregon Health & Sciences University, spending additional years during residency participating in cancer research. Dr. Christante completed subspecialty training at the University of Minnesota Colon & Rectal Surgery Fellowship Program.
Her practice includes all elements of the subspecialty: management of cancers of the colon, rectum and anus, colorectal polyps, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease, and anorectal conditions as well. Dr. Christante is a high volume robotic surgeon, using minimally invasive surgery to treat a variety of complex conditions and diseases. She also treats patients with pelvic floor disorders such as fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse. She hold a leadership position with the Commission on Cancer for Providence Sacred Heart and Holy Family Hospitals as the Clinical Liaison Physician, helping to ensure high standards in cancer care are maintained. She is also involved in quality improvement projects and medical education. She was awarded designation as a TOP DOC in the Spokane/CDA region for Colon & Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Christante sees patients at our central Cataldo location. She is an active staff physician at Sacred Heart Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, and Deaconess Hospital.
