Carol R. Guthrie, MD
Dr. Guthrie attended UCLA Medical School after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. She received her MD in 1986 and went on to do a residency in surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She then did a two- year fellowship at the University of Southern California in oncology surgery of the liver and pancreas. Dr. Guthrie has practiced in Spokane, Washington since 1994 and has been the director of the Spokane Breast Center since 2001. She is an affiliate surgeon of Providence Cancer Center.
Dr. Guthrie is board certified in general surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of numerous organizations including the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Association of Women Surgeons, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Washington Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She has published numerous articles and given many talks on breast cancer.
Dr. Guthrie lives in Spokane with her husband and three children.
